Intermediate|Senior Project Architect

A Project Architect’s main duty is to develop Designers into becoming more efficient and proficient with their job duties. Project Architects also lead design board reviews with or without the principal architects, which exist for the continuity and consistency of design.

  • Have experience in Commercial and Residential projects

  • Provide corrections redline corrections for designer sets

  • Be a master at Revit for maintaining the Blaine Architects template, and for developing parametric families

  • Provide assistance in answering more complex jurisdictional questions, including directly contacting the jurisdictions as needed on behalf of the Architect of Record

  • Guide and help with increasing staff Revit efficiency

  • Provide design sketches to staff to help troubleshoot and problem solve design details

  • Seek out new ways the firm can improve efficiency and reduce Project hours without compromising quality.

  • Seek out ways to improve deliverables and increase client satisfaction

  • Lead the weekly Design Charrettes when a Principal is absent

  • Provide Principals with informal reports on project status, problems, and solutions

The ideal candidates have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in commercial and residential design. The ideal candidate is licensed to practice architecture in the United States. The candidates are curious about design, and excited to be a major contributing member of a fun design studio. ​

Marketing Intern

We’re in (desperate) need of a marketing intern. The successful candidate will take ownership over, and execute some of our branding collateral such as brochures, signage, and Instagram page (that’s hurting, let’s be honest), and execute the collateral using our pre-existing Branding Package.

  • Producing Instagram content, including taking videos using our company iPhone, and posting across multiple platforms

  • Posting Reels and Posts on Instagram, sharing across various social media platforms

  • Intermediate InDesign knowledge is a bonus


Project Designer

Project Designers have a lot of agency in our company. We believe in creating strong architects, which means we invest in weekly training for our staff in an effort to develop better, well-rounded architects. We encourage pursuing the path to licensure and support studies, logging AXP hours, and ARE exams. This role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the delivery of projects under the supervision of the Project Leader:

    • Document designs from initial Schematic Design through Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration.

    • Research applicable codes, laws, and ordinances to comprehensively provide Preplanning and feasibility.

    • Perform site visits during Construction Administration, create site reports, draft ASIs, review submittals, and other field coordination. Must be legally and physically capable of driving independently to sites.

    • Take as-built measurements and create Revit models from existing conditions.

    • Submit project plans to relevant jurisdictions.

    • Execute project documentation, modeling, and drafting via Revit, and visualizations via Enscape.

  • Learn and deliver projects based on company processes and Revit standards.

  • Collaborate with members of the broader project team, including project consultants.

  • Communicate frequently with clients and support the clients' needs.

  • Prepare & create presentations to graphically communicate the project vision for both the clients and internal reviews.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional Revit experience

  • 5 year professional bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Architecture

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Work in person and in-office


Internship

Starting a design career within a small company is a great way to get a broad range of experience in the least amount of time. Our interns are integral in our practice, even if just for a summer. Internships include design time, basic Revit training, and tasks needed to best support our practice and your education and career path.
